As part of NCIA’s ongoing engagement with partners supporting industrial development, the team recently visited the ARISE Special Agro-Industrial Processing Zone (SAPZ) worksite in Ogun State.

The visit was relevant to NCIA’s work in supporting cassava industrialisation. Large-scale cassava processors require reliable infrastructure, utilities, logistics, and setup support.

A tour of the site showed the scale of infrastructure in place, including roads, power, gas, water, security systems, warehouses, and other industrial utilities.

The NCIA team represented by Yetunde Odedokun, Joan Egwuterai, and Morenikeji Akinseye met with Prasad Sane (Chief Business Officer) at ARISE, to discuss the SAPZ’s investor support structures.

Discussions also highlighted the SAPZ’s strong logistics advantages which come from its proximity to Lagos and other parts of Nigeria via major road networks. It is also positioned adjacent to the Gateway International Agro-Cargo Airport.

ARISE SAPZ is part of a wider industrial ecosystem developed by the Ogun State Government and ARISE IIP to strengthen industrial competitiveness and economic growth in the state.
